With the introduction of the Food Information for Consumers Regulations 2013 allergies are a key subject.

Food businesses have always had a duty to provide food that is safe to eat, however you now have to provide clear information relating to the presence of the fourteen key food allergens if they are present in the food that you serve. This requirement also relates to any food that you may display and serve that is unwrapped. Failure to provide correct information is now an offence.
